Dr. Youngwoo Joo, DDS

Dr. Joo was born in Korea and currently resides in Vaughan, Canada. He received his undergraduate training at the University of Toronto and graduated with degrees in zoology and human biology. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from NYU College of Dentistry.

Dr. Joo has received extensive training in dental bone grafting using a process called Platelet Rich Fibrin, or PRF, which offers optimum results and healing. He’s also completed advanced training in periodontal, or gum, surgeries, and he’s certified for administering IV sedation.

• Implant Residency from TIDE (The Institute of Dental Excellence) in Toronto
• Extended Implant Education regarding socket grafting, Guided bone regeneration (Bone grafting), Immediate implants placements, and PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) Application from BITES institute

• Digital Smile Design (DSD) residency 

Care Philosophy

One of the things Dr. Joo enjoys most about being a dentist is getting to know his patients and building trust and life-long relationships. He loves educating patients about the importance of oral health and how it affects their overall health and well-being. Dr. Joo considers the appreciation and acknowledgment from patients for the quality of work they received one of the most rewarding aspects of his job.

When he’s not helping patients maintain their oral health, Dr. Joo can be found snowboarding, golfing, or watching basketball.
